My jewelry consists of a braided cord made by an ancient Japanese method of braiding called Kumihimo. Kumihimo means "a gathering of cords" and was originally designed to tie the Samurai armor parts together and for tying the obi sashes of the geisha. Although the traditional braids were made out of silk threads, the braids can be made with many different types of threads, cords, yarn, or ribbons and combinations of types. Braids may have as few as 4 braiding strands and up to as many as 32 separate strands. Cords can also have beads added during the braiding. Beads can be added to all strands or on certain individual strands for different patterns or effects. Pendants can also be added for interest. I also design some of my own pendants. I have done custom work to match a pendant that a customer already owned. The braid design possibilities are endless. My home-based jewelry business is operated on the belief that our customers' tastes, fine, and unique designs are of the utmost importance. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. Pictures will be added as I get inventory made.
We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you some uniquely different jewelry.
